【转】Here we're showing off the enigmatic Nepenthes mollis. For almost a century, Nepenthes mollis remained a source of botanical mystery. However, last year, an expedition into the heart of Borneo re-discovered plants from the type locale and led us to understand that the plants previously known as hurrelliana are indeed the same species as mollis and that the name hurrelliana is a heterotypic synonym (meaning Nepenthes mollis is the name that should be used since it was the first published). Congratulations to Alastair Robinson, Greg Palena, Marc Barer and the team rest of the team (who I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet but would love to) for the excellent publication on Nepenthes fusca and mollis from Gunung Kemul and the subsequent taxonomical clarifications.
