This is the second time Christopher Lee takes on the role of an addicted gambler who was jailed, in Channel U upcoming drama Show Hand.
He first took on a similar role in Jack Neo's 2004 movie The Best Bet. But now, Chris has put up a performance more believable than before.
And the 40-year-old veteran actor, who was jailed five years ago for his involvement in a hit-and-run accident, has no qualms talking about his imprisonment.
"I am not flaunting my experience, but that's something which made my acting more realistic," said Chris, in an interview with xinmsn, at the press conference of Channel U's forthcoming drama Show Hand yesterday.
He called the imprisonment his eternal pain, and expressed that he will definitely feel sad over it.
Even so, Chris added that he accepted it as a reality, and would not get emotional if anyone brings it up.
"I just need to remember [that thing] was wrong, forever," he said.
It was reported earlier that he was the "jail consultant" for the show. However Chris refuted the appointment.
"It is overly exaggerated to call me the jail consultant," said the ex-inmate jokingly
He explained that the nickname came about due to his ability to give critical comments on the set's accurate replication of an actual cell.
